Call for proposals! Faculty Summer Research Fellowship

Funded Faculty Summer Research Fellowship 

 The Brooklyn Waterfront Research Center (BWRC) is now accepting proposals from full-time CityTech faculty wishing to apply for a research fellowship for Summer 2020. The proposal can originate from any discipline, but the research project must be related to the Brooklyn waterfront. Creative and interdisciplinary projects are welcomed. Deadline extended to April 24th! 

A successful proposal will present a 300-500 word summary of the research project, including: 

    • rationale for the research 
    • relevance to the work of the BWRC 
    • connection to your teaching and/or other research activities 
    • brief project timeline  
    • stage of the research (if already begun) 
    • collaborators (if applicable) 

The BWRC Research Fellow will be expected to: 

    • provide a midsummer progress report 
    • submit a final research paper or a multimedia product to be published on the Center’s website by September 1, 2020.  
    • present the results of the research at a BWRC event at the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester.

The fellowship will carry a $2,000 stipend to support the Fellow’s research. The fellowship will begin May 1 and end September 30, 2020. 

Proposals will be reviewed by members of BWRC’s advisory board as well as staff. Proposals should be submitted, along with a current CV, as a PDF file attachment with the subject title “BWRC Fellowship” to: Richard E.
