Alex Diaz-Casos serves as a Project Manager at BWRC and is a co-author of the 2024 conference white paper on Offshore Wind Energy in New York City, along with Nathan Kensinger. Diaz-Casos is an architectural engineer from Lima, Peru, where he worked as a construction project manager for several years before founding his former company, Dero Vax, which focused on designing green condominiums and restoration projects with local communities in Lima and Cusco, Peru. He later moved to Barcelona, Spain, to pursue a master’s degree in the management of real estate development with a strong emphasis on sustainability and business performance. This led him to further explore the field by completing a Master of Science in Urban Sustainability at the City College of New York, which he completed in May 2024. He has worked on various public-private consulting projects internationally and recently released a project in New York City on Local Law 97, exploring the balance between climate policies and housing policies for sustainable urban revitalization.
