The BWRC sponsors the preBar Facility Research series, a program in which CityTech Scholars share their Brooklyn Waterfront focused interdisciplinary scholarship.

These sessions have included:

• A screening of “Sunny’s Renaissance: Raw Hospitality Along the Waterfront” a film by James Reid, Hospitality Management
• Brooklyn Accents and the Paradox of Ambition in the Works of Arthur Miller and Norman Mailer: Associate English Professor Mark Noonan discussing his paper published in the Fall 2013 issue of The Mailer Review
  
• The presentation of their research  (portions of which have been published in the Journal of Map & Geography Libraries: Advances in Geospatial Information, Collections & Archives) was supplemented by historical maps from the New York Public Library
